Bilaspur. During train journeys, passengers use a large number of bottled water, and most of the empty plastic bottles are thrown away on platforms, in train coaches, or nearby public places. This not only causes littering but also harms the environment. Managing this waste has been a big challenge for the railways.
To solve this problem, the Commercial Department of Bilaspur Railway Division has taken a great step under the “Waste-Free India” campaign. Now, 6 bottle crusher machines have been installed at different locations on Bilaspur Railway Station. Out of these, 3 new high-tech machines have been provided by Coca-Cola, and they also offer rewards to passengers for recycling bottles.
With this facility, collecting, recycling, and reusing plastic bottles has become easier. It helps keep the station clean and supports national missions like “Plastic-Free India” and “Green Railways.”

- Put the empty plastic bottle into the machine
- Enter your mobile number on the screen
- Receive an SMS voucher and get your reward from the nearby Coca-Cola store
Locations of bottle crusher machines at Bilaspur Station:
- Platform No. 1, in front of the AC Waiting Hall
- Near Gate No. 01 and Gate No. 04
- Second Class Waiting Hall
- Near the stall on Platform No. 6
- Near the stairs on Platform No. 2/3
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Anurag Kumar Singh said that this initiative not only promotes cleanliness but also encourages passengers to dispose of plastic waste properly. Many travelers are already benefiting by earning rewards through this system.
